Nursing Dresses

I found some pretty nursing dresses. Although I can’t vouch for their quality, I like the design and they’re floral! Floral prints are harder to find; Women seem obsessed with solid black dresses these days thanks to Coco Chanel.

The Rosary and the Bargain

I would say this – that by far the easiest and least “troublesome way of rearing a family of which you can be proud is to institute the family rosary in your home, and keep it up. . . Mothers have said to me that the smaller members of the family won’t behave during the rosary. What of it? The smaller members of our family won’t behave either. Between them, our two-year-old Jimmy and eight month old Regina put on something resembling a three ring circus while we are saying the rosary. We don’t interfere. It’s our business to say to say the rosary; it’s theirs to have a circus. God made them that way; and if He doesn’t mind, why should we? We pray above and between their shouts and gurgles, and it works out very well.”

Finer Femininity

When I get to heaven – as I trust I shall – something very embarrassing is bound to happen. As sure as shooting; somebody who has known me rather too well for comfort on this earth is going to come up to me and say, in a loud voice enough for everybody to hear, “How in the world did you get in here?”

I am not going to answer in words. I am simply going to pull a rosary out of my pocket and dangle it in front of my questioner. That will be my reply; and it will be perfectly true. It will also be true for my family, which I have every reason to hope will be there with me. We will all pull our rosaries out of our pockets and wave them.

I think that we will wave them for all eternity; or…

Blessings of Marriage

“Thus amongst the blessings of marriage, the child holds the first place. And indeed the Creator of the human race Himself, Who in His goodness wishes to use men as His helpers in the propagation of life, taught this when, instituting marriage in Paradise, He said to our first parents, and through them to all future spouses: “Increase and multiply, and fill the earth.”As St. Augustine admirably deduces from the words of the holy Apostle Saint Paul to Timothy when he says: “The Apostle himself is therefore a witness that marriage is for the sake of generation: ‘I wish,’ he says, ‘young girls to marry.’ And, as if someone said to him, ‘Why?,’ he immediately adds: ‘To bear children, to be mothers of families’.”

Nora’s Nursery Cloth Diapers Review

I bought a set of Nora’s Nursery Cloth diapers and they’ve been great. If you’re looking for  some affordable cloth diapers I highly recommend them.

The diapers are adjustable just snap them up for a smaller size. At nearly their smallest setting they fit my 6wk old baby rather well:

The Snaps are sturdy. I’ve had snaps fall off after one wash with other brands but these hold up just fine in the wash:

The inserts are easy to put in and out and are super absorbent :

The Practical Conservative – Now With 35% More Oppression

The Practical Conservative

I was sitting there, minding my own business when my wife, your hostess here at The Practical Conservative, said to me, “White Oppressor, we need to help people make more babies on the Internet.”

Amusing misunderstandings ensued, but eventually it became clear that she was talking about advocating pro-natalist policies.  This seems like a noble goal, so here I am.  Multiply and replenish the earth y’all.
